Member Renewal

The Member Renewal Process will be completed entirely online using the IDS Library Account Manager.

Important information for the renewal process:

  • In July, the IDS Board of Directors held a meeting to determine the 2021 IDS Budget and Membership Fees.  During this meeting, the discussion focused on the impact that COVID-19 has had and will have on our member libraries and on IDS Operations.  Since March 2020, IDS has seen a significant decline in shipping due to widespread library closures.  As a result, IDS has seen a reduction in shipping expenses even though we have collected our income for the year.  The Board is focused on passing these funds back to the membership and the Board action for 2021 reflects this.
  • For 2021, IDS is taking a unique approach to the membership fee structure
    • IDS is reducing all full and affiliate member fees by 25% for 2021.  This reduction is IDS’ way of “returning” the funds not spent during COVID-19 back to the membership.
    • All existing full members will remain in the same package category as 2020, since package totals are skewed from the COVID-19 pandemic.
    • The 2021 membership tiers and fees will remain unchanged from the 2020 levels.  IDS Members were emailed their 2020 package category level.
    • The 2021 Membership Fees can be viewed here
    • The Board will consider a reduction of fees for 2022 once we have a more complete sense of the impact of COVID-19 on IDS operations over the next 6-9 months.
  • All IDS members are invited to participate in the residential shipping pilot allowing all full member libraries to ship library-related materials to residential locations. Click here to learn more.
  • IDS members can ship to libraries nationwide. Please note that participating in nationwide shipping is voluntary but may impact your annual package count and member category.
  • Please complete the Renewal process by Friday, December 11, 2020.  Invoices will be sent out in late December with payment expected by January 31, 2021.
  • It is very important that the library information you provide be accurate and complete.  The information provided through this process will immediately display in the online IDS directory.
  • Members with Affiliates: After renewing, please email IDS at ids@bucksiu.org to confirm that your affiliates were successfully renewed.
