Membership Fees
Each summer the IDS Board of Directors determines the membership fees for the following calender year.
IDS Board discussions continue to focus on the impact that COVID-19 has had and will have on our member libraries and on IDS Operations. Since March 2020, IDS has seen a decline in shipping due to widespread library closures. As a result, IDS has seen a reduction in shipping expenses even though we have collected our revenue for the year. The Board focused on passing these funds back to the membership and the Board action for 2022 reflects this.
For 2022, IDS 2ill continue its unique approach to the membership fee structure:
- IDS is reducing all full and affiliate member fees by 25% for 2022. This reduction is IDS' way of "returning" the funds not spent during COVID-19 back to the existing membership.
- The 2022 membership tiers and fees will remain unchanged from the 2020 levels.
- All existing full members will remain in the same package category as 2020, since package totals are skewed from the COVID-19 pandemic.
All IDS members located within Pennsylvania should use the column headed Full Member Fee and, if applicable, Affiliate Fee.
All non-PA IDS members should use the column headed PALCI Full Member Fee/ PALCI Affiliate Fee.

Membership Fees

The IDS Board of Directors has approved the 2023 Budget and Member Fee structure, which includes member fee increases across all category levels. These increases are reflective of the unexpected 40-50% increase in shipping costs that IDS has experienced since April 2022.
All IDS members located within Pennsylvania should use the column headed PA Full Member Fee and, if applicable, PA Affiliate Member Fee.
All non-PA IDS members should use the column headed Out-of-State Full Member Fee/ Out-of-State Affiliate Fee.
